For kindergarten, eligible students should be five (5) years old on or before Sept 1. Kindergarten is a full day, free program for all kindergarten students.
Preschool selections are prioritized for children who turn four (4) years old by September 1, 2021 and who live in the school attendance area. After that prioritization, any additional spots will be made available for three (3) year olds based on birthday. Interested families for preschool should complete the Preschool Interest Form available on our website. Interested families for kindergarten should register through Online Registration on our website. Families who need support, such as translation services or technology assistance, should contact their school office to request assistance, or reach out to the Early Childhood Coordinator, Libby Culver, at 970-247-5411 ext. 1468 or [email protected].
Currently, preschool rates are $560/mo for a full day, which is Tues - Friday, 8-3, or $280/mo for a half day, which is only available at Needham Elementary School. Financial assistance is available to families through the Colorado Preschool Program, which may cover half or all of the tuition. The CPP Eligibility Checklist is available HERE. LIbby Culver is available to help apply.
Placements are made based on the needs and risk factors of each student. It is so important to provide needed supports for these students, and the district is working hard to ensure these services are provided to all students and their families.
