COVID End of Year Summary - 6.3.21

Each week throughout this school year, the district provided families with COVID-19 summaries of cases, quarantines, and updates to procedures. While we are all exhausted from talking about COVID, it is hard not to mention it in a wrap-up story. We share the same hopes and aspirations with our families that next year we will be able to have a “normal” school year.

Throughout the summer, the district will continue to consult with the Colorado Department of Education, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and our local health authorities to put plans into place for next school year. We will continue to keep families updated on any impacts, but at this time the district and its schools are planning to resume a normal school year next year.

Most families experienced a quarantine this year, as evidenced by the weekly COVID summaries, which tested everyone’s adaptability and flexibility. We remain amazed at all the grit and determination exhibited by staff and students alike to roll with the punches and find the silver linings and other successes this past year.

We wish everyone a wonderful and safe summer.  Keep the passion for learning going this summer, whether that is reading a good book under a tree or by the river, learning a new sport, or exploring a new trail. We thank our entire community for making this a truly memorable year and we look forward to welcoming families back in the fall.
