School Supply Packs through EPI

This year our SIPTA group has arranged for School Supply Packs to be available for Sunnyside students. We must have at least 24 orders for this to take place. The price list and all information are in the attachment. Orders must be in by June 8th.

The Durango Education Foundation invites you to nominate exceptional Durango School District 9-R employees for recognition at the annual DEF Employee Appreciation Celebration in May. DEF will acknowledge all nominees and honor as “Outstanding” three teachers (usually one each from elementary, middle and high school levels) and three staff members.

District Launches My Stop App For Bus Riders

We are excited to introduce a new feature now available to families who have students who ride our buses. As an extension of our scanning system, which utilizes Student IDs to scan students on and off buses, parents can now download an app to their mobile device to access their child’s bus route information in live time and in a secure environment.

Teamwork Takes Sunnyside Team to State Competition

If there is one thing that stands out more than any other when you meet the Fortissimo! team from Sunnyside Elementary, it’s their teamwork. The Destination Imagination team made up of Sam Yeargen, Laulani Wheeler, Sarisma Magar, Andrew Pickett, Anna Padgett, and McKenzie Hayden work so well together they can finish each other’s sentences. It’s this spirit of comradery and collaboration that helped qualify the team for the state competition with their third place finish at regionals.

Please take a moment to fill out the 2017-2018 Durango Accountability Advisory Committee (DAAC) parent survey. The DAAC conducts this survey annually and the results are used to inform Durango 9-R and individual school administrators of strengths and areas for improvement.
