Sunnyside Elementary School is part of the Durango School District 9-R, and serves students in the southern part of Durango and La Plata County, Colorado. Here at Sunnyside, we believe that the improved academic achievement of each student is a shared responsibility among the adults in the child’s life and the child. welcome to Sunnyside Elementary School the small school with low student-teacher ratios and a passionate staff Sunnyside Elementary is part of the Durango School District 9 are and is located about 13 Mi south of Durant and serve the real Community their Sunnyside has approximately 120 students in preschool through fifth grade at Sunnyside students receive all the services of a large school while learning small family environment Sunnyside staff are committed to providing high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment to help students meet and exceed the Colorado academic standards at Sunnyside we exist to equip Inspire and Empower students to make a powerful impact in their world now and in the future by teaching them the portrait of a graduate of vision that guy's of the district as a Northstar to burp students for Life After School are young scholars actively learn by opening their mind taking educational risk persevering through struggles and reflecting on their knowledge and themselves here at Sunnyside that the improved academic achievement of each student is a shared responsibility among the adults in their child's life and the child by working together we provide our students a strong foundation for Success come join us Side Elementary School
